Our hands, one of the most special gifts given by God...why???

It is because by using our hands we are capable to create love, art, and things that reflect our feelings toward the person we love, friends and family in general.

I´m a living example of this; when I want to learn or do something, there´s nothing that can stop reaching it.

As you know, I love doing things with my hands, so handycrafts are ones of the things that I really enjoy the most.

Since I was younger, I have been doing a lot of things such as birthday cards, ornaments in christmas time, photoframes with ribbons, etc. But lately I have enjoyed doing plastic butterflies, which I cut from soda bottles, and after that I paint them with different colors; also, I can make butterflies using repujado´s technique which is really amazing, specially when you paint them with an special paint that gives them the appareance of ruin or old furniture...It´s really nice!!!

Another thing that I love doing is pasting over tiles images of different kind of landscapes like antigua guatemala, flowers, fruits, etc. It is an amazing technique that can be a different gift for an special friend or relative or just to decorate your house; what makes this really nice is that you can work with different sizes of tiles, so you can arrange them like a mural in your house and it will look really amazing.

Foamy is a lovely material to work with, because it is such malleable that you can also iron it to get a different shape creating a lot of figures.

It is really useful when you are preparing things for a birthday party or a baby shower.

I can share with you that I´m totally a visual lerner, because I wanted to learn crochet, but to me it was too difficult to understand the pattern from a book...so instead of that, I decided to download some videos about techniques of how to do crochet flowers and scarfs and through practicing, I did it!!

I was so happy because I really wanted to learn crochet, so now I have a lot of different things done by myself.

Also, the loom technique is very nice and easy to practice and you can create a lot of different things with that.

Well my dear friends, remember that as women, we have to be complete, and that includes the ability to cook, being a wife, daughter, sister, friend...and also we can impress with some other skills such as handycrafts. There are only 2 requirements to reach this ability which are :

Patience and that you definitely enjoy working with your hands!!!

Go ahead my dears and you will discover that handycrafts are a good way to avoid stress in our lifes!!!

SOMETHING I LIKE AND DO WELL...

Cooking is one of the most famous pleasures around the world...

Through this ancestral skill, you can express your feelings, emotions and love.

It is believed that the easiest way to reach a man´s heart is through his stomach, and I do believe that cooking is one of the most important ingredients in a relationship.

For me, cooking is not only relaxing but also exciting; unfortunately , right now I don´t have enough time to do it as often as I would like to do it, but every time I have the chance, I put all my effort and love to prepare a great meal for my family.

As all the things that we do in life, the power and the passion that we put on it will determine the result...Cooking is not the exception; and let me tell you that your mood could afect the result in your meal.

If you are down in the dumps and you´re trying to cook a great meal, the result will be totally different from what you want, but if you feel happy and you´re enthusiastic, you will definitely obtain a great meal!!

Moreover, the presentation is very important; it doesn´t matter if you´re servig just beans and eggs. The way you introduce your plate will be the key factor for you to reach your family and/or friends apetite.

There are millions of recipes and ingredients to be combined and tasted; remember that your imagination is really important at the moment of cooking because some spices or ingredients will intensify your meal.

The kitchen is considered one of the most important places in your house, because it is the place where your mother catches everybody´s attention and we tend to share lots of conversations either good or bad while helping or just talking with her.

Besides that, when we are kids, we really enjoy tasting all the ingredients that our mom has ready to cook and those memories will be with us forever...

So, my friends...from now on, every time you eat a great meal, remember that lots of feelings and emotions have been combined to give you a piece of love in a plate!!!
